Warehouse Music [Chronic]

Recently relaunched V Records sister label Chronic Records is back with a bang with Warehouse Music, a 24 track compilation showcasing a great selection of D&B with a CD mixed by Bailey to boot.

Stylistically the compilation leans towards dancefloor friendly material, with rolling tech, old-school jump up and rolling modern jungle making an appearance. Bladerunner delivers a classic jungle-tinged roller on Lockoff, Capone hits us with the old skool stabs on I’ll Be Your and Command Strange’s infectious and recognisable Disco Ball finally sees release.

Elsewhere there’s tons more on show including beats from Optiv & BTK, Serum, Nitri, Need For Mirrors and L-Side. You can check out the tunes below, and the full compilation will drop on CD, vinyl and digital from Feb 24th.

In The Mix…DJ Dara

New York’s DJ Dara gets behind the decks to deliver a concept mix packed full of tunes both old and new, with one underlying theme – memorability. Featuring classic cuts such as Digital’s Deadline alongside modern anthems like S.P.Y’s remix of In The Waiting Line, Dara blends liquid, tech and dancefloor styles to great effect. Check it out and grab a free download below.

In The Mix…J Bostron

When it comes to Ragga Jungle, it doesn’t get much rougher and tougher than J Bostron! With a slew of releases on the likes of Audio Bullet, One Foot Skankin’ and Dub Chamber and allegiances with the newly launched Yardrock imprint, 2013 looks set to be another big year for Bostron.

The man’s latest endeavour is a tasty 30 minute studio mixtape featuring cuts from the likes of Marvellous Cain, Aries and Bladerunner alongside a massive pile of new tunes and edits from Bostron himself. Expect rolling ragga vibes all the way! Check it out below and grab yourself a free download.

Marvellous Cain – The Hitman (Bladerunner Remix) [Yardrock]

Bladerunner holds a special place in the current D&B scene as one of few purveyors of what could really be called modern Jungle, and I always look forward to more of his tunes. Good choice from the newly relaunched Yardrock label to remix a classic from Marvellous Cain’s back catalogue!

Look out for more from Yardrock over the coming months, big tings a gwan…
