Leeds-based label Transmission Audio’s 15th release provides the follow up to last year’s Dark Matter, Part 1 and sees Australian producer Xsetra returning to the Transmission roster alongside new recruits Stash.

As you’d expect by now the vibes are dark and techy all the way, with highlights coming on the rolling grime of Xsetra’s Cortes Bank and the appropriately vicious Belfast Tension from Stash. Check out the clips below and look for this one dropping from May 10th.

Hex – Winged Foes / Slugproof (Frustrate Remix) [TA:LTD]

Hex3

Dojo boss Hex returns with more of his techy stylings for Transmission Audio’s new TA:LTD sublabel. Winged Foes opens up with creepy atmospherics and then drops into a metallic neurofunk assault with tearing midrange and heavy kicks and snares clattering down from all sides.

Over on the flip Frustrate provides a tasty new remix of Slugproof, adding plenty of grit to the bass and locking the track into a weighty, rolling groove. Check out the clips below and grab this one from Digital Tunes right now!

Rune & Kaiza – The Rowdy EP [Transmission Audio]

Rune & Kaiza continue their ascent through the neurofunk underground with a chunky new EP for Leeds-based Transmission Audio featuring three appropriately energetic new cuts.

Rowdy and Sickstrip both provide tasty slabs of dancefloor worth tech-funk business but the suspense-ful intro and savage bassline of You And Me make the EP’s third track the easy Dojo favourite. Check out the clips below and look for this from March 20th at all good digital outlets.

Hex – Tin Man / Skitta [Transmission Audio]

Dojo bossman Hex steps up to deliver the latest release for Leeds-based Transmission Audio. True to the label’s MO the release features two dark, techy cuts, with Tin Man bringing hard breaks and metallic bass while Skitta keeps the energy flowing with rising reese bass and plenty of atmospherics.

Autorun, Iaco, Rune & Kaiza – Icarus / Experiment [Transmission Audio]

Transmission keep the releases coming thick and fast with a fresh new single from quadruple collab team Autorun, Iaco, Rune & Kaiza. Icarus builds the tension with a big floaty intro before dropping into hard snares and a big warping bassline. Over on the flip Experiment keeps the bass fierce but switches the beats up, opting for an off-kilter percussive assault that refuses to roll to a predictable pattern.

Check out the clips below and head to Digital Tunes to pre-order the release now!

Dark Matter Part 1 [Transmission Audio]

Transmission Audio celebrate their 10th release with a various artists EP showcasing four up and coming producers’ contributions to the tech D&B scene. Skepsis’s relentless Breach proves to be the highlight, with a heavy rolling break and throbbing bass distortion driving the tune along at maximum velocity.

Elsewhere kloaa &  J.M.C team up for a dark, percussive groove on the ominously titled Ultimity, Tekan leads us on a screeching, clattering path on The Evil Inside Me and Quatermass (formally E-Quartermass) brings the rolling vibes with plenty of mid range modulations on Event Horizon. Check out the clips below and grab this from your favourite digital store now.

Get To Know…Transmission Audio

Regular readers of the blog will probably already be familiar with Leeds-based upstart Transmission Audio. Altered Perception, Peak and Sanction have been busy over the last year building a fierce catalogue of dark, edgy D&B from up and coming producers like Komatose, Skepsis and Xsetra, and they’ve even found time to start a sister Sub:mission imprint to put out some more melodic beats.

With the labels moving from strength to strength, and the releases dropping all too quickly, the Dojo crew decided it was time for a wee retrospective on the last few releases and what’s to come over the next few months.

Xsetra – Tectorum / Zub Zero [Transmission Audio]

Leeds based Transmission Audio return with their fifth release and keep the dark, techy vibes rolling with two new beats from Xsetra. Tectorum sets the mood nicely but for me it’s all about the eclectic percussion and squelchy basslines of Zub Zero. Atmosphere and heft in equal measure! Check out the beats below and grab this one from all good digital outlets now.
