Andy Pain – Fck Dem / Gas [Vandal Records]

Russian neurofunk troublemaker brings his latest beats to Vandal Records with two fantastic slices of dancefloor funk fuelled by weird and wonderful rhythms. Fck Dem combines pin sharp stacatto percussion with an onslaught of filtered bass hits cobbled together into a bizarre but utterly infectious composition that apparently gives exactly zero fucks!

Over on the flip Gas brings a hint of techno to the table, with a swung beat underpinned by constant kick drums and more unusual combinations of sounds. Anyone looking for the heft and dancefloor appeal of neurofunk but with a decidedly unusual twist should definitely check these out! Clips of the tracks in all their wonky goodness are to be found below, and you can hit up your favourite digital store to grab them right now.

Leeds tech outfit Transmission Audio have got a cheeky half-stepper from label boss Altered Perception and frequent collaborator Automate; once again you can grab via the Soundcloud player below.

One of the editors at NeurofunkGrid is kindly giving away the personalised VIP he won as part of backing Gridlok & Prolix’s Project Trendkill LP kickstarter last year. Fans of the album should definitely be all over this – grimey neuro vibes! Hit up Mediafire for this one.

Last but by no means least Free Love Digi have not one but *two* great new freebies; first up there’s a dark roller from Kaset to celebrate his new single for the label (which is out on Monday), and label bossman Quentin Hiatus is giving away a collaboration with Thomas B and Ghast which pushes the boundaries at the edge of the 170BPM envelope. Once again downloads available via the Soundcloud players below.

Andy Pain & Z-Connection – Take It / Horizon [Diffrent Music]

Diffrent continue their quest to bring weird new sonic manipulations into the world with a pair of new beats from frequent collaborators Andy Pain & Z-Connection. Andy Pain goes in on the slouching swing of Horizon, drawing on hip-hop and deep, downtempo electronica for a soft, shuffling beauty of a track.

Z-Connection amps things up on the flip, bringing together frantic jungle-breaks with a hint of the footwork aesthetic and some rapid fire vocal chop ups. Fans of Fracture’s recent output will love this one. Check out the beats below and head over to the Diffrent bandcamp to pre-order a copy; the release drops there from September 27th with full digital release to follow on October 6th.
