Soul Trader boss Surplus lands in our guest mix hotseat with a whopping 2 and a half hours of classic jungle! Digging deep in the collection this 93-95 vinyl mix takes in legendary tracks from Foul Play, Bukem, Krust, Q Project, Danny Breaks, Roni Size and many many more…vintage breakbeat selections.
Russian producer and DJ Nelver lands on the Dojo decks with a superb new guest mix! Rolling liquid vibes a-plenty on this one, leaning towards the dancefloor end of the sound with plenty of his own music alongside cuts from the likes of Nu:Tone, Silence Groove, LSB, Qua Rush, Telomic and many more.
Toronto in the house! Our latest guest mix comes from Jomari who’s currently celebrating a fresh release on Deviant Audio. For his Dojo mix Matthew has compiled a diverse selection crossing deep rollers, murky steppers and jungle smashers; definitely something for everyone in here!
Shodan lands on the Dojo decks with a high energy mix full of dark rollers, old school heaters and tons of unreleased music! Serious business on this one – wrap your ears round some dubplate fire!
High energy selections from one of Scotland’s best DJs as we welcome Anikonik to the Dojo decks! As a resident selector for Electrikal and Junglism, Kara has built a fearsome reputation playing to big crowds both North and South of the border, and we’re expecting to hear big things over the coming years as she hones her production skills under the EQ50 Mentorship program with the mighty RAM Records.
Her Dojo mix delves deep in the crates, blending classic selections, hidden gems and up to the minute bangers across dark tech, jungle-tinged steppers and heavy neurofunk…serious business. As always you can check out the mix via Soundcloud below or head to Youtube or iTunes to stream. You can also grab a download from Google Drive.
Kiwi producer and DJ Habit lands on the decks for our latest guest mix! Between a packed calendar of appearances in his homeland (where clubbing is actually a thing…we envy you so New Zealand) and releases for ProgRAM, The Dreamers, Samsara Beats, SBK and more, Habit has been a busy man over the last few years, crafting his signature brand of high-energy D&B.
The mix feels like the mirror of Habit’s production style; energetic, but varied in style, crossing dancefloor, neuro, halftime and deeper beats to boot (including a fistful of his own tunes, of course). As always you can check out the mix via Soundcloud below or head to Youtube or iTunes to stream. You can also grab a download from Google Drive.
We roll into 2021 with a guest mix from Soul Defiance! With releases on Addictive Behaviour, Default Recordings, Deep In The Jungle, Sweetbox and his own Defiant Recordings imprint, Soul Defiance has been carving a rep as a versatile underground producer…and it’s that production skill he brings to a punchy 30 minute guest mix stuffed full of dubs! Dark rolling flavours throughout on this one…tasty stuff.
Liquid fans should definitely recognise the name on this guest mix! Emerging as one of the brightest talents in rolling, melody-focused production, Henry’s work has seen release on Celsius, Fokuz, Bay 6, Default and Glitch Audio over the last few years. His mix delivers exactly what you’d expect; deep, emotional D&B selections featuring the likes of Leniz, Askel, Echo Motion and Alix Perez. Beautiful stuff!
To celebrate his new release on Stereocilia, we’re very pleased to welcome Grappa to the Dojo decks! Bringing a varied selection of rolling D&B, the mix features dark and light, classic and contemporary and a fantastic cross section of artists including DLR, Mark System, Trex, Zero T and of course some of Grappa’s own beats!
We’ve been watching Tellus for a while and we’re big fans of the projects he’s involved in, whether as a solo artist, co-founder of the Locked Concept imprint or one part of the recent 3VS project alongside Akuratyde and Monika. Naturally then we were really pleased when he agreed to record us a Dojo guest mix!
The mix is packed full of deepness new and old, taking in Tellus’s own work alongside beats from Stray, Moresounds, DJrum, Sorse and lots more, plus some unreleased dubs. It’s a lush musical journey through many styles of 170, and a thoroughly enjoyable ride.
