Liquid fans should definitely recognise the name on this guest mix! Emerging as one of the brightest talents in rolling, melody-focused production, Henry’s work has seen release on Celsius, Fokuz, Bay 6, Default and Glitch Audio over the last few years. His mix delivers exactly what you’d expect; deep, emotional D&B selections featuring the likes of Leniz, Askel, Echo Motion and Alix Perez. Beautiful stuff!
Summer liquid vibes from Mage on today’s premiere; as we’ve come to expect from one of Russia’s finest melodic producers this is all about the gentle piano, crisp rolling drums and shimmering pads. Beautiful tune; watch out for this coming June 22nd at all the usual stores.
Nostre has been making moves over the last year, honing his style of emotional liquid via some impressive releases for labels like Omni Music, Influenza Media & DNBB Digital. With an EP coming up on Celsius later in 2019, we grabbed him for a chat about musical influences, the scene in Norway and what he has in store for the rest of 2019…
Nemy is back in our premiere spotlight today as he returns to frequent label home Celsius Recordings with a trademark slice of soulful liquid. Soft vocals, lush pads, crispy breaks and warm bass; classic Nemy business! Look out for this one coming Nov 12th…
Serbian DJ and producer Nemy steps up with a rolling selection for our latest guest mix! Featuring soulful rollers from his own catalogue alongside beats from Monty, Phil Tangent, Enei, Satl and more, Nemy showcases the sound that has garnered him releases for Celsius, Terra Firma and The Dreamers. Wicked stuff!
Our exclusive mix series reaches the big 60 this month and we’re excited to have London production trio Kolectiv in the hot-seat with a blistering three deck mix! With releases for Dispatch, Celsius, Nurtured Beatz, Vandal and many more, the collective of Kalm, Carera & Keza have proven themselves versatile producers, dishing out everything from liquid rollers to techstep smashers and deep halftime grooves.
For their Dojo mix the boys have gone in with a murky selection, switching things up between rolling selections and deeper steppers. Beats from the likes of Fuj, Alix Perez and Survey sit alongside recent releases and a heap of dubs; serious business. As always you can check out the mix via Soundcloud below or head to Youtube or iTunes to stream. You can also grab a download from Google Drive.
Time for another look at the best of the rest for the past couple of weeks with new releases from London Elektricity, No Rules & Torn, Hex and more…
Fresh from his rather excellent Miracles EP for Fokuz Recordings, Russian liquid maestro Intelligent Manners presents his latest work for Fokuz sister label Celsius. Once again the order of the day is clean, melodic liquid with a dancefloor edge and plenty of musicality and all the quality you’d expect from the Fokuz family.
All four tracks have plenty to offer but for me the hypnotic, understated melodies of Dreaming stood out; the combination of soft synth hits, warm bass and insistent breaks combine to create the sort of muted euphoria you can lose yourself in again and again. Check out the tracks below and grab this on vinyl or digital now.
Actraiser continues his catalogue of beautiful liquid beats with a four track EP for Fokuz sister imprint Celsius. The titular Inner Beauty kicks things off with crisp, rolling breaks, lush atmospheres and piano trills echoing in and out of the mix. There’s even time for a hint of jazz with the odd burst of sax for flavour. Get It On drops the urgency a couple of notches and heads for the groove; the title says it all on this one I think!
The Road To Enlightenment ups the energy once more, with melodic elements floating over a hefty backbone of sub bass and breaks. Last but by no means least, Cosmic Shift blends epic trance-style synths with cheeky arpeggios for a euphoric yet meditative atmosphere. Watch out for the EP dropping on vinyl and digital from July 14th.
BCee & Bladerunner team up on a pair of deep liquid rollers for Fokuz sub label Celsius Recordings. Combining BCee’s ear for melodic flourishes and Blade Runner’s jungle tinged bass and breaks, the two tunes tread a nice line between dancefloor business and musicality.
Moonstruck makes good use of a wobbly bassline and a tight break under soft strings and pads to create an atmosphere that is energetic but slightly melancholy. Crash heads for jazzier territory with upbeat piano and saxophone over throbbing bass tones and another great rolling break; summer business on this one. Check out the beats below and grab it from your favourite outlet now!
