2016 is a weird time for D&B labels. With the tendency towards more rapid release schedules and the increasingly crowded marketplace, it can be tough for a label to forge a distinctive sound and identity while fighting not to get lost in the wash. With that in mind, Addictive Behaviour’s accomplishments are all the more impressive.
With a commitment to quality over quantity, an eye catching visual brand and some seriously heavyweight artists on the roster, Addictive Behaviour are already floating to the top of the pack after two short years with no signs of stopping. Read on for our top 5 from the label’s back catalogue.
Addictive Behaviour storm back to the scene after a selection of successful single releases with eight new tracks for part one of their Rotation LP. Kiev bass badman and Dojo favourite Fade leads the charge with the crisp, heavy hitting vibes of Danger, swiftly followed by the stomping tech funk of Artifact’s Discordant. Both these tracks deserve a special mention for the attention to detail and vibe present…serious stuff!
Elsewhere on the EP there are moody rollers from Screwballand Noel, a deep stepper from Nitri, Level 2 & Hannah Eve and more monstrous neurofunk bangers from nScape, TR Tactics and Nitri & Release. Tidy selections from a label that has impressed us fairly constantly since their inception; we can’t wait for part two!
Sadly there’s no vinyl release for this one but you can grab the release from all good digital stores right now! Check out the clips below and pick your favourites.
Austrian D&B duo TR Tactics follow up their excellent recent work for Addictive Behaviour with a fresh new single for Citrus Recordings. Mental Delusion hits down hard with big squelchy bass riffs, while on the flip fellow Austrian producer Phentix joins the TR team for a punchy drum workout on Quest Of Mind. Check out the clips below and head to your favourite digital outlet to grab the release now!
Addictive Behaviour celebrate their first birthday this month with a podcast from new signing Artifact and a free release featuring a track from him and new beats from TR Tactics and L33. We figured it was high time to catch up with the crew for a chat, so read on for the lowdown on all things AB.
Austria appears to be a hotbed of D&B talent right now, with Fourward and Mefjus both at the top of their game and tons of other great producers plying their wares, including TR Tactics. The duo return to Addictive Behaviour with another no nonsense neurofunk release, featuring two tracks of crisp, weighty, futuristic D&B. Cone comes out on top for the sheer bass grime factor of it, but both tracks are well worth a listen – check them out below and look for the release on Beatport from October 6th with full release following from October 20th.
