Evol Intent & Ewun – 8 Bit Bitch [Free Download]

Evol Intent continue their excellent run of free “throwback Thursday” giveaways with a remaster of Ewun collab 8 Bit Bitch. While the Spor remix (which featured on the Era Of Diversion LP) added a certain amount of extra production quality and some rather tastier bass, the original still has plenty of glitchy charm eight years on from it’s original release on Evol Intent Recordings. Check it out and grab a free download below!

Evol Intent – Suicide [Free Download!]

Originally released back in 2005 of the Guerilla Warfare compilation on Renegade Hardware, today’s freebie is a nice little remaster of Evol Intent’s classic darkstep belter Suicide. Tough amens, vicious bass stabs, a healthy dose of glitch and a nicely acid-tinged lead combine to give this tune every bit as much edge as it had eight years ago. Check it out and grab yourself a free download below!

Impak – Alive EP [Free Download]

Youtube channel turned net-label NeurofunkGrid return with another top quality free release, this time from Spanish producer Impak. Alive delivers a hyperactive slice of futuristic neuro goodness, with tons of movement in the bassline and a pounding beat.

Move It Out builds things up with some nice synth harmonics before the drop; a half-time beat with the force of a dozen sledgehammers set to some fantastic warped sub bass. Just as you think you’ve got the tune figured out it swaps to double time for maximum heft. Nice!

To top it all Impak has also put together a tidy 45 minutes mix of the latest neuro cuts for the 12th in the NFG Talents mix series. Check out the beats and the mix below and download the release from the NFG Facebook page here.

Anodyne Industries – Make Your Body A Darker Weapon [IDMf]

San Francisco based Anodyne Industries is a new name to my ears but definitely one I’ll be keeping a close eye on in future. His release in the extensive and varied catalogue of the IDMf net label (which admittedly I’m coming too rather late on, given it’s release back in 2011) is a tasty selection of dark, warped beats across various styles and tempos.

The EP includes a selection of remixes both by AI and others of Make It Darker and Body Weapon, plus a bonus in the form of After The Storm. Highlights for me are the skittering, leftfield neurofunk vibes of Make It Darker (AI Remix), the dark, atmospheric halfstep of Body Weapon (AI Remix) and the sublime IDM-tinged Dubstep of Make It Darker (IG88 Remix). Check it out below and grab yourself a download from bandcamp on a free/pay what you like basis.

Desimal – Arcanna (Rusher Remix) [Free Download]

Sadly now passed away, Desimal was a hugely talented producer with an interesting take on neurofunk. One of my favourite early 12″ purchases was the sublime Hyperboria / Arcanna release on Citrus, a plate I still reach for six years on. Naturally then when I discovered that German producer Rusher was giving away his remix of the track for nothing, I jumped all over it!

Rusher has done a bang-up job with the track, keeping the essence of the original very much alive while adding his own style to the drums and bassline. Check it out below and download the track here.

Maztek – Slight Funk [Free Download]

Italy’s very own neurofunk don Maztek gives us a nice little freebie in the form of Slight Funk, a tune that’s all about the glitchey, futuristic drums (which remind me of Spor’s classic Stoppit).  Slightly robotic sounding synthetic sounds pad out the main kicks and snares of the break to great effect, and the tune is reinforced nicely with a moving neuro bassline and simple yet lush pad work.

All you have to do to get a copy is go and like Maztek’s Facebook page. Check out the tune below and get liking!

I Am Legion – Make Those Moves [Division]

Noisia & Foreign Beggars have taken their increasingly frequent collaborations to a new level with their new project I Am Legion. Fusing Noisia’s talent for epic basslines with a lower tempo and the Beggars’ distinctive vocal stylings, the debut single Make Those Move packs quite a punch. Ahead of shows in September and the full album dropping later this year on Division, the boys have released the first single as a free download. Check it out below and head to the I Am Legion website for your freebie!

Concord Dawn – Numbers Will Kill Us All [Free Download]

Kiwi D&B legend Concord Dawn returns with another free release (following on from last year’s excellent Air Chrysalis), dishing up 7 tracks for absolutely no cost. The appropriately titled Havok opens the release nicely with some big, fat, stomping dancefloor D&B with a synth line that brings to mind Gridlok’s The Media Is A Joke, and a bassline that I challenge anyone not to rock out to.

Ever keeping us on our toes, The Imposter sees the main man drop the tempo and deliver a slice of jazzy house with an infectious groove. Not for long though, as the rest of the LP takes things back up to 170 with a tour of different styles, with subby acid-tinged rollers (Codename Javelin), tribal steppers (Hemlock) and weird IDM-esque shenanigans (Warehouse) all getting a lookin between the reliable neurofunk stompers (of which Amnesia is probably my favourite).

As usual there’s no arguing with Concord Dawn and there’s no arguing with free, so check out the tracks below and grab yourself a copy post haste!

Telekinesis – Eyes Closed [Free Download]

To celebrate the upcoming release of the Judgement Day EP on BSE’s Blackout imprint (and because they love to tease) Telekinesis are giving away Eyes Closed via their Facebook page. As we’ve come to expect from the Slovenian duo it’s a slickly produced slice of neurofunk with an infectious hook and some serious bass texture. Check it out below and grab yourself a tidy freebie!

Amoss – Cranium (Dakosa Remix) [Free Download]

As a celebration of hitting 7000 followers on Soundcloud Amoss have handed over a tidy freebie in the form of the Dakosa remix of Cranium. With warm bass, natural percussion, and more than enough energy to move a dancefloor, this strikes a nice balance between the tribal vibes of Amoss recent Bumbaclart release for Horizons and the grittier techstep of their State of Suspension EP. Check it out below and grab yourself a free download!
